Rhode Island

We began to pull together my huge colorful bouquet.

I got into my harness. The wind looked a bit less fast now, but there was still a fair amount of it, up in the treetops. You generally don't want to be moving too fast if you're flying in a place like New England, where there are a lot more trees than large open fields to land in. The state seal of Rhode Island is an anchor with the motto "Hope", either of which seemed potentially useful at this point.

The crew released me. I rose up past the surrounding trees, waving to the crowd.

Then the wind caught my balloons, and carried me off briskly to the east.
