My cloud surged away from the chains of the ground,

And buoyed me skyward with nary a sound,

Up like a bubble, into skies blue and fair

Floating up through the vast prairie ocean of air.

Up, up to the heavens, so awesomely high

In a wild surrender to the wind and the sky

The Ruby Mountains
Elko and Spring Creek

And briefly I knew what it felt like to be

Of all the world's creatures the most joyful and free.
